There has been a lot of uproar happening in this web world. Internet marketing practices have changed upside down. And the cherry on the top is the regular updates that Google bring in the game. No one can deny the fact that after Google's Panda update, the whole digital marketing fraternity have woke up from a long sleep and everyone seems busy their techniques just to get something more than expected from the online world. More recently, the Penguin update is also taking away sleeps from SEO masters eyes. Undoubtedly, alike rest of the world, SEO in India has also become a tough call.

According to a recent study by some reputed authorities firm, social media marketers are relying on SEO more than other marketing tools like PPC. The study has been conducted among 3,800 social media marketers from across the globe. This is somehow a good thing to know that the digital marketers are not putting their arms down despite the ongoing turmoil. The results of the survey have clearly shown that the social media marketers are still bending to search engine optimization, as 65% voted against the platform and has outnumbered PPC or online ads with great margin. Surveys are of such natures are highly necessary to know the market notion.

Any SEO company of India would be delighted to know that the study revealed about 67% of B2B social marketers prefer SEO over other tools, while when it comes to B2C, the figure is 62%. These data ensure SEO is not dead yet. There are a lot of things still to be done, a lot more still to explore, a long way still to be crossed. The study also tells us that 68 percent of respondents said they’re planning to increase their SEO efforts. However, any SEO company of India needs to keep this in mind that this figure is slightly down from 2011's 71%.

While SEO seems to be going up in the mark of popularity as the most preferred social marketing tool, PPC has been facing a real dump, which is counting at 43% only. Companies offering SEO in India will also be thrilled to know that Facebook is still the number one social networking site with 92% of acceptance while Google+ is lacking a lot and is placed at the sixth number in the list. Only 40% of the marketers are using Google+, but they are planning to move from it sooner or later.
