We assume that our organization is a collage which run the under graduate and post graduate programs. Collage has a own library for both UG and PG.In present collage library use manual library system. Staff member of organization used library management system manually which is very difficult in manage. We suggest to staff member to use our system which is easy to operate. We consider that the collage which has three year class programs. So we design a system for three year class programs such that MCA, BCA, BBA, BSC etc. 2. Problem Investigation (a) Introduction to Existing System: Existing system is the manual system of keeping records of books and members. The staffs of library are involved in the following tasks. 1. Membership process: person has to fill membership form and they are provided with member id. 2. Information of books: When new books arrive then staff creates a book id and keep records of book with particular book id. Staff gets information about book like book author, publisher, price, number of books and arriving date and all this information write in register manually. 3. Issue and Return book: When member comes for issue book then staff member issue book to member and write info like member id,book id,issue date, due date, in record of issue book. When member comes for return book then staff member check the record which is write when book issued and check that Is particular book have a fine or not? If he find that book has no fine then staff member receive book and free the member. If book have fine then staff member say to pay fine. 4. View record: When staff member wants to check records then he reads all the records like membership register, book detail register, register of issue and return book. (b) Goal & Need of project: Goal: Our goal is reduce complexity from existing system and save time of staff member. Need of project: For quick access records of books, members and make easy process of make record of books and members. (c) Objective: The objective of this application is as follows: • The software is for automation of library. • Can enter details related to a particular book. • Can provide membership to members. • Can read and write information about any member. • It provides "better and efficient" service to members. • Reduce the workload of employee. • Faster retrieval of information about the desired book. • Provide facility for proper monitoring reduces paper work and provide data security. • All details will be available on a click.
