Chevy’s MyLink: Bringing “Infotainment” to Your Ride

It used to be that jumping in your Malibu for a trip across the state meant completely losing touch – from your contacts, your tunes – even simple directions. Luckily, as technology has progressed, so has Chevy. With the announcement of Chevy’s new MyLink system, driving to work or driving across the country just got a bit more fun.

It used to be that jumping in your Malibu for a trip across the state meant completely losing touch – from your contacts, your tunes – even simple directions. Luckily, as technology has progressed, so has Chevy. With the announcement of Chevy’s new MyLink system, driving to work or driving across the country just got a bit more fun.

st louis chevyWhat is MyLink? For years, car makers have been trying to bring the latest and greatest to their models. In-car infotainment systems aren’t just fun to play with, but they can also make travel a bit safer with hands-free access to all the information you need. But these systems can come with a big price tag. Until MyLink, of course.

Using MyLink, you can have quick and easy access to your smartphone and all of its contents using either steering wheel controls or a console-mounted touchscreen. MyLink can connect to your Android, Blackberry or even iPhone. What’s even better? MyLink makes it easy to listen to Pandora or Stitcher right through your speakers. More apps compatible with MyLink are expected to be released throughout the year.

Of course, the MyLink system can also be used to do cool things outside your smartphone. Need to switch up the AC? Or get turn by turn directions? Or turn the station on the radio? You can do that, too.
