Well, a laptop that has been painted means that the resale value may take a bashing, of course the design is something that the potential buyer is likely to clique with. Choose designs that can fit both a corporate set up and a street-wise design in case there is a great urge to paint it. Furthermore, some processes like sublimation will lead to uneven designs and depending on the paint used the laptop might look really ugly when age kicks in. The stickers will in extreme cases start to peel off.
