ZTE launches ZTE Skate and Racer II in France
ZTE has broadcasted that ZTE Skate and Racer II come to France. We have known that the numbers of smartphones of ZTE sold in France have increased from three in 2010 to 10 in 2011 – containing six operator-branded and four own-branded devices – ZTE has revealed its wish to increase their market share. ZTE is aiming at surpassing the success of the ZTE Link and the ZTE Blade released in France in 2010. The ZTE Skate and ZTE Racer II aimed at the mid and entry-level markets respectively, stands for the best value for money in their market segments and illustrate ZTE’s firm promise to supplying an increased user experience at a competitive price to appeal to the mass market. ZTE Skate, we have already known its features. The ZTE Racer II is one of the most affortable Android smartphones available. With a 2.8 inch multipoint touch screen, it runs a Broadcom BCM 2157 500 Mhz processor. It furthermore comes with a 2 megapixel Autofocus camera, GPS, an accelerometer, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. “2011 has been a significant year for ZTE in France as we moved to target our devices at mid-high end markets and were identified as the world’s fourth biggest handset vendor,” said Emmanuel Rousseau, ZTE Director of Mobile Handsets in France. “The expectation for 2012 is truly wonderful, with Android Honeycomb tablets and an array of Windows Phones in the pipeline. ZTE has enlarged its product range to offer operators worldwide a broad variety of devices to satisfy the increasing needs of their consumers.” Rousseau added. ZTE is identified as the fourth biggest supplier of mobile handsets worldwide. In the third quarter 2011, ZTE’s handset shipment come to 19.1 million, up by 57.9% on the identical period last year, while total market share expanded to 4.9 percent.
