The entry into the tablet PC segment did not go well for BlackBerry. In fact, even the smartphone segment has not been too good for the company, which is facing intense competition from the likes of Samsung and HTC with its Android powered phones and not to mention the iPhone.

The BlackBerry Curve 9360, though, is a phone that looks every bit like the successful Blackberry phones we have seen in the past. The usage of the new operating system, meanwhile, lends a lot of character to the phone, which has been lacking of late from BlackBerry phones. The BlackBerry Curve 9360 looks every bit like the BlackBerry phone we have witnessed in the past, but the phone comes with the added spice of being able to boast a thickness of just 11 mm.

This is just incredible for a business phone and the feeling just gets better when you look at the full QWERTY keyboard present in the phone. The usage of the 2.4 inch display may seem a little disappointing at first, especially given that it is not a touch screen unit, but it more than compensates for the lack of the same by providing a resolution of 480 by 360 pixels.

This makes the BlackBerry Curve 9360 one of the best in the segment when it comes to the resolution stakes, which is nowadays far more important than the size of the display itself due to the advent of a lot of high definition content in the multimedia segment. The BlackBerry Curve 9360 is one of the first phones to come with the NFC support in this segment, while the usual connectivity options like 3G and Wi-Fi are found in the phone as well. The usage of the five megapixel camera may be a little surprising, but it is a camera that does not offer the options like autofocus and HD video recording.

Still, you will be able to use this camera for occasional photography because the quality of the images are certainly top notch. The presence of the BlackBerry OS 7 adds a lot of steel and character to the phone. The presence of this operating system in the BlackBerry Curve 9360 has been made possible due to the 800 MHz processor and the 512 MB of RAM. They both provide the BlackBerry Curve 9360 with the necessary impetus to take on the other phones in this segment, which are certainly been boosted by the presence of the Android operating system. However, it cannot come close to the BlackBerry OS 7 when it comes to satisfying the business needs of the user. The usage of the 1000 mAh battery enables the BlackBerry Curve 9360 to support all kinds of applications for a long time, and this also includes music playback as well. The BlackBerry Curve 9360 comes with 512 MB of internal memory, while the possibility to expand memory is also present in the phone using the external memory card support. Moreover, you may also desire to explore Blackberry Curve 9360 for other available deals.
