Costa Blanca Holidays in a Varied and Wonderful Place
By choosing a COSTA BLANCA HOLIDAYS, you have given yourself access to some 200 kilometres of coastline that contains the best beaches in the south east of Spain. The area of Alicante is known worldwide for its natural asserts and activities making it a major tourist destination. Alicante has over 320 days of sunshine each year without the rain found on the Costa Brava and less humid than the Costa del Sol. Don't worry about not speaking the language as there are a lot of English speaking locals including a large English ex-pat population. During the last few generations there has been a race to modernize this area with some places becoming over developed. As a result the government has put a stop to a lot of developments in order to preserve the innate culture of this wonderful country. Staying just ahead of the bulldozers is the little fishing village of Villajoyosa, with all its original features still intact. The overdeveloped areas include the vibrant city of Benidorm. This once little fishing village changed its economic base overnight to tourism with its now infamous high rise apartment blocks and hotels that surrounds the beach front of the city centre. This resulted in thousands of tourist visiting this magical place each year, with some remaining on a permanent basis. The Costa Blanca is extremely varied from north to south creating a completely different holiday destination. In the north of the Costa Blanca there are some fantastic mountain ranges that reach down to the coastline forming overhanging cliffs that protect the beaches below. This dramatic scenery is a definite must see while on the Costa Blanca. Down the road a little way is the little village of Denia with its ancient castle and the Montgo Mountain in the background. This area of the Costa Blanca is rich in monuments and places of interest with their historical past. The Costa Blanca also has a historical maritime interest especially with the important ports found here, one of which was home to the Americas Cup. There is a wealth of yachts to be hired for a day’s sailing over to the Balearic Islands of Mallorca Ibiza and Formentera. What a great way to spend a day out. This part of the coastline has been blessed with an array of the best beaches anywhere in southern Spain. For the most part all of them have been awarded the European Blue Flag for safety, cleanliness and the provision of all the necessary facilities for the whole family. If you take the opportunity to venture along the coastline, you will undoubtedly come across some secluded little coves where you can spend a little private time or do a little rock climbing. Once you have decided on which place you are going to base your holiday in there are a number of airports you can fly into. The city of Alicante has one on its doorstep, Valencia is not that far away and Murcia has the south of the Costa Blanca covered which means you will never be more than 45 minutes away from either airport. With the advancement of the budget airlines it is easier than ever to travel to Spain. Once you arrive on the Costa Blanca the A7 motorway offers an easy way to travel the length of the coast. When booking your COSTA BLANCA HOLIDAYS you may not realize just how much history and heritage this place has. When most people think of the Costa Blanca they think of places like Benidorm and all its night time activities. This area has 3,000 years of history not counting the prehistoric period making it an excellent destination for the historian.
