Called upon by my editor to write some home-hunting advice for folks
planning to buy one of the luxury condos for sale in the New York area, I found my mind wandering a little.
I was thinking about a house-warming gift for my sister and had pretty much decided that one of the new, electric chocolate melters would be just the thing. As I ran through the many uses of chocolate melters, I found myself linking delicious chocolate treats to the possible residents of the luxury apartments for sale!

Choffee.

So I imagined a young couple living in one of the affordable New York
condominiums, who own a small, but trendy coffee shop. My imaginary
couple use large, electric chocolate melters to produce the dessertspoons full of real chocolate they whisk into a half- coffee, half-chocolate drink they call Choffee!

Birthdays.

New Jersey condos attract commuters and families who like to live in this attractive coastal setting. The old-fashioned chocolate melters inherited from mother would belong to the family-oriented, stay-at-home moms in Jersey City condos who get plenty of use from this handy kitchen gadget.
Their kids love the chocolate frosting on their home-baked Fairy cakes, the real chocolate milk shakes, chocolate sauce and home-made chocolate ice-cream served for family birthdays.

Rich, dark chocolate.

To reflect the luxury and sophistication of an Atlanta condo, I imagine the residents as highly successful business people who do a lot of entertaining for business clients in their lovely home. Their melter would be used to provide the perfect finishing touch to an exquisitely-presented dinner party given for a packaging equipment executive and his charming wife.

Healthy.

They would use heart-healthy dark chocolate with a high cocoa content and a hint of bitterness, delicately counterbalanced with just a whisper of Southern Comfort. The guests could dip tiny, almond cookies into this heavenly mixture or coat small segments of sweet, fresh oranges in plain, dark chocolate.

Fresh ginger.

Manhattan condos dwellers would probably use their chocolate melters to serve delicious slices of fresh ginger, mango or strawberries to be dipped in warm, chocolate and enjoyed with an expresso coffee. Or perhaps sweet, white grapes coated in bitter chocolate for a delicious dessert.

Edible flowers.

I think the nature lovers who would buy one of the Hudson River waterfront condos for sale now, would use their chocolate melters to coat fresh spearmint leaves, plucked from the terrace herb garden. These delicious leaves could be served with chocolate-coated edible flowers and home-made elder-flower champagne.
What could be more pleasant than nibbling these yummy snacks whilst
chatting with a group of friends on your sunny terrace on a lazy Sunday afternoon?

Extra pleasure.

So much for my advice about buying New York Condominiums! But there are just some days when you have to discard your ‘committed professional’ packaging.
Equipment for melting chocolate is one of the age-old devices that adds a little extra pleasure to life - whether you live in a tiny, town-house in Timbuktu or a masive Manhattan condo!
