Lighting up your Life
There are generally some central main light fixtures like wall lights or a chandelier in the living room—table lamps serve as supplementary lighting. Selecting the right table lamp will reflect your style and affect the theme of the room. For example, if the décor of the room is Asian based then you will find many table lamps on the very same theme. One has the Alloy Chinese Vase which is a burnished and hand crafted bronze lamp and looks like an antique. Another, the Ancient Snuff bottle lamp is porcelain, round lamp in blue color with hand painted designs and a silver leaf mount. Both of these are fine examples of table lamps that fit in an Asian theme. Another breathtaking table lamp would be the Chinese Ceramic vase lamp—it offers a great contrast as it is of white porcelain and painted black. This stylish piece can adorn a coffee table, the place above the fireplace or the night stand. Couple this with good wall lights and you are all set. There are also a lot of light fittings if you are planning to please your lady love. These wall lights and table lamps offer grace and elegance in all its flawlessness. For instance, take the Cage iron lamp, which resembles a bird cage and has a filigreed flourish—the cage is made of wrought iron which has been art glazed. It usually comes in a light green color which blends into the soft shades of the bedroom, but it would look just as awesome on the table in the living room. The temple jar lamp is another such example, it is made of brass and has a very aesthetic shape and a soft color—a pair on each side of the bed would look marvelous. Also be wary of your light requirement—one does not need glaring lights for the bedroom and muted lights for the living room.
