Motorola has made some huge strides in the high-end smartphone segment with phones like the Motorola Milestone and Droid. However, should Motorola decide to launch this phone after all, it is sure to blow the minds out of the opposition. There are also a number of pictures floating around the web speculating about the appearance of the phone and keep those rumours are to be believed, the Motorola Olympus will most probably be looking like another one of Motorola's current model, Motorola Defy. However, it would be daft to expect this phone to be as rugged and tough like the Motorola Defy as it is a phone that is not made to satisfy the adventurous type of person, but it is done so to satisfy a different kind of person, one who loves technology and is very geeky. Hence, this phone comes with the latest dual core processor and this would be the first time that you will be seeing a dual core processor in a phone. Apart from having a dual core processor, the phone has a 4.1 inch display that is expected to be a capacitive display with AMOLED technology. Five megapixel camera seen to be out-dated even for the high-end smart phones and as a result, this phone uses a brilliant eight megapixel unit that can boast of full HD video recording. Like the dual processor, full HD video recording is also an option that will form the first time make its appearance on a phone. It is really incredible to think that you can do full HD video recording, while most compact digital cameras can only think of HD video recording at 720 p. Full HD video recording capability would be seriously handicapped without any option to transfer the videos from the phone to a large screen TV. Hence, this phone comes standard with the HDMI out capability. It is still unknown as to whether Motorola will provide the necessary cables for connecting the phone to the TV.
