For those of you, who think that all Windows phones are either boring or uninspiring, think again, as the new HTC HD7 is on the blocks. This new phone may be part of a launching spree from the company, but there is more to this phone than just being another touch screen phone from the mobile phone giants HTC. The HTC HD7 is a Windows Phone and one can say that with their head held high as this phone has some features that will surely make your friends who have chosen a phone running on the Android operating system. The Android OS might be very good, but it can’t come close to the quality of the Windows phones. A quality that has been acquired by making high end touch screen phones for nearly a decade. The biggest thing that puts this phone ahead of the Android rivals and makes this phone sound to be a proper entertainment device is the fact that it has a large 4.3 inch touch screen. This screen, even though has the same dimensions and size like the screen found on the HTC Desire HD, is in fact better than it. That may be down to the fact that this screen is being used in an outer shell that looks much more appealing than the Desire HD or due to the fact that it displays the latest operating system to hit the market recently. With regard to the hardware and processing specs, this phone is similar to the previous flagship model of HTC, the HTC Desire. Hence, this phone is seriously fast and does not take an eternity to load one image. Of course, being a Windows phone, it does not just focus on the entertainment side of things alone. Sure, it does have an 8 GB of storage space internally, but the main thing that it does brilliantly is taking care of your business needs. For doing that this, the phone has an app called Pocket Office that encompasses Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and PDF viewer all into one little package. This means that you need not be searching for an application over the HTC Hub for viewing a single ‘Word’ document. It is brilliant touches like these that make this phone a really brilliant one to own and use in daily life. For entertainment, there is the Facebook and Twitter integration, and also the YouTube client for browsing the YouTube videos without a browser. The camera used in this phone can take great images as it’s a 5 megapixel camera. The camera can also record HD videos like most of the smartphones today. A 3.5 mm audio jack, Dolby Mobile and SRS sound enhancement take care of the sound department and these bring you, the best from the world of sound onto your phone. The HTC HD7 was launched in the UK in October and is available in one colour, black. The phone is priced at £380 for the SIM free version. Besides that you may also wish to take a look at HTC 7 Mozart for other available deals.
