Ever wondered how much is too much? With all the social media to be involved in, how much is too much? There's really no right answer. It all depends on your companies size, resources, and industry. It also depends on how much time your companies has. If you start social media marketing, you want to commit your time to it.

Some companies feel that having more than one profile is distracting. On the other hand some companies have endless. I believe you want to be somewhere in the middle. Social media marketing can increase online visibility and ones site traffic, there's no doubt about it. You just don't want social media to keep you from doing your job.

Either way you go you always want to start with your goals. Whether its to increase sales, work on customers loyalty, build your band up, or just to grow your social media leads. You need to know what your goals are to keep focus on what tactics you are going to use.

Now that you have a list of goals, you need to take a look at which social media is meeting your goals. Choose out of Flickr, podcast, YouTube, blogs, or any other site your using. Give the ones that are bring traffic to you all of your attention and put the others on hold. This gives you more time to focus on the ones that are working for you. And move away from the ones that may be distracting you from your goals.

You can determine which ones are working for you by viewing your site's analytic. Watching your site traffic you can see where the traffic is coming from. You can see where the best traffic is coming from.....the people buying from you.

After you feel good about your social media activities and can always add more. Ask your best customer where they like to go online. This can bring you future customers by hanging out there as well.
