After the “scandal” of skininess (which?), following comments from Karl Lagerfeld and Kate Moss, we are seeing the emergence of more models with healthy bodies...which makes us very happy!
The Si Lolita campaign from Lolita Lempicka is emdodied by a beautiful brunette, with a curvy chest wrapped in fine jewellery and curvy thighs. She has beautiful, clear, pink skin, very natural hair and is sprawled in a jewel of a Parisian salon, decked with flowers and coloured in pinks and pastel greens. The result is a delicious glamour, and inspires a voluptuous and indulgent femininity. It is fair from the usual beanpoles, with their aggressive sexuality and tanned skin, that have inspired more than a few complexes.
I do not prefer one over the other, but this Lolita Lempicka advert really caught my attention and made me happy.
For Sonia Rykel with H&M, another curvy model is the muse of the new line. It is the wonderful Lily Cole, the beautiful redhead with a soft and feminine form, who represents the Sonia Rykel woman; sexy, glamourous and full of class. Her doll's face and paler skin (again) makes her a delight to see! On the other hand, for those who, like me, think that AT LEAST top models have small chests...you will be a bit shocked!
Question: are these fuller bodies models always so pale?
