In the world that we live in today, the pressure is on for new mums to LOSE PREGNANCY WEIGHT fast. It seems like every time we switch on the T.V or read a magazine , we are confronted with celebrities that have just given birth and are now slimmer than they have ever been before. It would be quite a normal reaction for any new mum to think, well, if they can do it, then so can I.

LOSING PREGNANCY WEIGHT. DIETING TIPS FOR NEW MUMS.
In the world that we live in today, the pressure is on for new mums to LOSE PREGNANCY WEIGHT fast. It seems like every time we switch on the T.V or read a magazine , we are confronted with celebrities that have just given birth and are now slimmer than they have ever been before.
It would be quite a normal reaction for any new mum to think, well, if they can do it, then so can I.
What most people don't realize is that they have probably achieved this with a punishing diet and exercise regime. Not a very pleasant experience I bet .
But in the real world, a new mum should take her time. It took nine months to gain this weight so doesn't it make sense that it will take the same amount of time to lose it ?.
Here are some common sense tips to help new mums lose weight.
* For the first 3 months you should just concentrate on you and your baby, and give your body time to recover.
* Instead of dessert, have some fresh fruits or salad as a starter.
* Avoid any unnecessary calories.
* find exercises that you enjoy and don't see as a chore.( make sure to only do exercises that your health professional has recommended -:)
* Replace snacking foods with fruit.
* Eat little and often. This will speed up your metabolism.
* Don't avoid all fat, we need them, but go for the right kind such as omega 3 fats, usually found in Salmon, Nuts, Flax seed oil and Avocado's.
* Eat fresh fruit instead of fruit juice (unless it's made by you with fresh fruit -:)
* Avoid looking at fashion magazines. They will only make you put pressure on yourself to lose weight fast.
* Never go shopping while you Hungry.
* Don't buy unhealthy or fattening foods. If it's not in your cupboard, you can't eat it.
* Listen to music whilst exercising.
* Never just dive in to any heavy exercise. Your body has just been through the mill and needs a bit of TLC, plus, you don't want to injure yourself, so start slow and build up gradually.
* Drink plenty of water. This will get rid of toxins and fat deposits from your body. It is vital to your general health an well-being and is also essential if your are breastfeeding.
* Avoid all soft fizzy drinks. Especially if they're labelled as being DIET.

In the early day's of motherhood, following a healthy eating diet and easy regular exercise,( such as walking out with the baby in the buggy ) is the best approach for effective weight loss
