For comparison based on technological advancements, Hero offers exclusivity due to being an Android phone with UI that allows running multiple applications simultaneously. The feature of seven home pages with different widgets at a time means a lot of versatility. In comparison Palm Pre has decidedly packed up multiple features in the new edition to bring it to the forefront of smartphones. Palm Pre has attracted many to admire the set for a pleasant touch response and allows multi-touch sensitivity and zooming by pinching.

Hero is sleek 3G set with 5 MP camera without provision of flash. It offers an experience of Windows Mobile TouchFLO 3D screen with the widgets, which can be scrolled through for easy access. The users can easily make way in to Facebook, Flicker and other social networking sites. On the other hand, Palm Pre is based on a totally new OS called webOS which is empowered with strong support for social networking and access to the internet. It is thrilling to watch how fast and smoothly it performs in these directions. It is very easy to make web pages with the support of webOS. The camera of Palm pre is 3.15 MP featuring 2048 x 1536 pixel resolutions and supported with LED flash.

The display of Palm is TFT type capacitive 3.1 inch touch screen of 320x 480 pixels with capacity of displaying 16 M colours. It further features Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. Comparatively, HTC Hero also sports TFT type capacitive touch screen of 3.2 inch with same pixel and colour display features as of Palm Pre. Hero is also supported with Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. However, the additional feature goes for accepting the multi-touch commands and Trackball as against full QWERTY keypad pf Palm Pre.
